Fertility Support

Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) have been shown anecdotally to be effective for supporting fertility. (If you wish to know more about the benefits of Arvigo techniques that we offer, read the Maya Abdominal Therapy page).

There are several paths to folllow.

When actively trying to conceive, the Arvigo Maya protocols are one or three months in length before attempting conception.

ATMAT can be used in conjunction with treatments such as acupuncture, yoga, nutritional and herbal support,  IUI and IVF.

The goal of these techniques are to help the uterus reach a neutral position, increase lymphatic exchange and cleanse the uterus of stagnant blood. The results can be a reproductive tract that has been freed of impinged fallopian tubes, with a well placed uterus and bladder, enjoying increased blood and lymph flow overall, with better quality eggs, increased richness in the uterine lining, and a cervix that may be more welcoming to the implantation of the fertilized egg.

  • Some women choose to incorporate this type of therapy in the year prior to trying to conceive in order for the body to be as healthy as possible
  • A 1- 3 month (or longer) plan might be advisable for optimal preparation
  • ATMAT should not be performed during the days you are trying to actively conceive or during menstruation
  • For IUI and IVF clients, it is recommended that one receive ATMAT prior to stimulation, or during the break from administration of stimulating drugs
